Physical Side-Channel Attacks on Embedded Neural Networks: A Survey

Abstract

This survey reviews state-of-the-art physical side-channel analysis (SCA) attacks, specifically power and electromagnetic (EM) based attacks, against embedded deep neural network (DNN) implementations on micro-controllers and FPGAs, providing a taxonomy and detailed classification of current attacks.
